But I also noticed the following:
1) The first Prime Ministerial election took place in 1996
2) Ultimately Netanyahu failed to hold the government together
Then in the following election
3) Ehud Barak beat Netanyahu in the election.
4) In early 2001, Barak resigned following the outbreak of the al-Aqsa Intifada
And finally, in the most recent case,
5) it was decided to scrap separate elections for Prime Minister and return to the previous system.

if the USA has the parliamentary system,many of us would not have heard of who is Mr Barack Obama. It works as under this system every child regardless of race can dream and aspires to be a USA President
Even if he fails they can keep trying and they cannot blame the government and the system for not giving them a chance. They just got to work harder.
A prime minister is usually chosen by a few individuals of the legislature, while a president is usually chosen by the people, a popularly elected leadership is inherently more democratic than a leadership chosen by a legislative body, even if the legislative body was itself elected.
Stability — a president, by virtue of a fixed term, may provide more stability. We can adapt this into our system of elected PM. -
