another ex-colleague has quitted singapore

just got the news that another ex-colleague of mine is quitting SG and emigrate to australia. Both a singaporean and a smart business IT analyst, he too was fed up with the local system,sell off everything and move over. All together, this is the 3rd person that i worked with that had taken the plunge of moving overseas.
i hope there will be more singporeans to take the challenge and move overseas, since the current situation is not in the favour of the citizens, it is best to make alternate plans now.. -

My guess that you have not even been to australia before or else you wont be telling us that eating out in Australia is cheap. -
it is their choice of living here or not. dey think and get fed up with the system here, but however, take note, there are many hundred of thousands of pple here love to live here and gonna stay.

Every countries have their own dirty linens. Just that they are still "new" to the new country they have yet to find out.
There no such things as totally good country loh gotta give and take lah. Those migrate to Australia, one thing for sure is they are trading a safer living place for a more crime prone living enviroment.
Anyway it their choice to stay or go, just don't regret nor blame others for their plight will do.

Quite true. They did not fit in their overseas community. That's the main concern that I've heard from my acquaintances who've gone back. Most are happy to remain overseas. No doubt, the food ain't cheaper. But the salaries are definitely better. If you miss sg food, just go back for a holiday. Not only does your higher salary enable you to, but the exchange rate as well.
A recent case that I'd encountered was a colleague's friend who'd just emigrated. She was fed up with the stress, pressure, long hours, and less-than satisfactory pay in sg.
All the 'quitters' that I've met in these overseas places all speak of the sillyporean system with great disdain. Funny enough, these sillyporean work conditions do manifest themselves sometimes overseas, when you end up working for a sg/asian boss.

Have you encounter your house was broken in in broad daylight with the alarm sounding, yet no one or police take action?
Have you seen groups of drunkards walking down the streets and damaging properties, scratching the cars etc?
Money can be earn, life cannot be replaced. No doubt Aust is a good place, but nevertheless certain things are still more valuable compare to money. -

I've been around the vicinity before, and I can say the suburbs I've been in South Perth are far safer.
