You overlooked the last group who are incapable of foreseeing and refusing to acknowledge an impending doom despite being on board a ship with half its stern submerged. This lot, instead of making their escape plans, would actually implore others with a better intellect than theirs to join their lost cause with the same feverish vigour as them.Originally posted by maurizio13:There are those that would bail ship if they see another better passing ship, then there are those who cannot get into the better ship because their services are not needed there and then there are those despite the ship sinking will choose to stay (drown with the ship).
I salute the 3rd type, they are brave but somewhat stupid.![]()

I pity the second type, they kpkb about their captain, the chief engineer, the thai sailor.... but have to stay on the ship because no other ships want to take them. Really pathetic.Originally posted by maurizio13:There are those that would bail ship if they see another better passing ship, then there are those who cannot get into the better ship because their services are not needed there and then there are those despite their own ship sinking will choose to stay (drown with the ship).

The world needs more of those 3rd type, so that those of the 1st type can exploit them.![]()

even fymk knows what is "the best of both worlds" , "The other door is not good if you are a middle class worker [b]but damn good if you strike it rich on foreign soil and decide to retire in Singapore or invest back into Singapore. "
it only proves that you don't have what it takes, or not the rich ones, neither in singapore nor the foreign soil, nor are you one of the "others with a better intellect."![]()

MOELC last time don't want accept me to learn 3rd langOriginally posted by sgdiehard:fewer variables, lower risk; fewer things to learn, lesser capability needed. I am asking my children to learn at least 3 languages, like those in europe. you want a ship with sailors from thailand, indonesia, indian, china, you will be in command if you know their language.
choose your boat, the one where you are comfortable.
There is a third option - work hard for your own ship and then from one ship -profit and buy another until you have many ships -be a shipping magnate essentially.Originally posted by Demonight:Didn't know there was a revolving door between ships for bourgeoise or for those who've succeeded under their own rudder. You'd do well to first enrol yourself in a decent English course. Maybe, that's one impetus of free education...Originally posted by Daddy!!:i pity the Walesa's type: already sitting on a half-sunk dinghy and he thinks he is sitting on an aircraft carrier.![]()

That way if one ship sink , you have another to replace it quickly.
And always have a safety luxury yacht in tow as a secondary life boat. That way the escape from the sinking ship is faster and more comfortable.
It is fortunate that what is best for me is not best for you.Originally posted by walesa:Best of both worlds? I'd be amazed if you even understood "best", much less anything else in that phrase.![]()
It is obvious that you need a miracle to make any sort of sensible living. To me, it is wisom and education, adaptability and flexibility, plus hardwork and a little luck, I can make a decent anywhere and I can choose where I want to go.Originally posted by walesa:With a deranged mind like yours, coupled with a frequent propensity for self-contradiction, it'd indeed be a miracle if you could make any sort of sensible living anywhere. Maybe, you could join Daddy!! in an English course for a start - I'm sure that will help you see a clearer picture of "losers" emigrating to evade "the lee dynasty" being every bit as qualified as other migrants who do so for "all kind of reasons". That might just save you from an eventual date with a shrink.![]()
never depend on MOE for the education of your children. I know the interest of my children and i consider my job to provide the opportunities for them to learn and grow.Originally posted by eagle:MOELC last time don't want accept me to learn 3rd lang
but nvm, I went to learn more myself in my uni, now learning 4th language. Damn MOE only bothers about hard grades and not interest
Naivety, stupidity and sheer ineptitude are what you exude and possess in abundance. Suffice to say, it comes as little surprise the deranged and delusional often choose to engage in meaningless self-assuring rhetoric as a form of self-denial. After all, as Kim Jong-Il valiantly exhorts, how can you possibly know what you're missing out on when you haven't the faintest clue what goes on elsewhere?Originally posted by sgdiehard:It is obvious that you need a miracle to make any sort of sensible living. while you continue talking and waiting for miracle, you will have to continue running and jumping ships. Make sure you have your life jacket on.![]()

learning the 4th language, I salute you. If you are speaking english and mandarin without mixing the two, then you can add in another language to your claim, Singlish.![]()

It is indeed a blessing that your deranged intellect is not what I'm endowed with...For morons with an IQ marginally higher than their shoe sizes, ignorance sure is a bliss.
