The Suzhou lesson never learned, now another is bidding?

When the Suzhou lesson is never learned there will always be another. When Putong was touted as the best shenton way of Shanghai Singapore was not moving in fast enough so when it later sent its investment team it was too late.
So China convinced Singapore to take Suzhou which no one the Thai, the Taiwanese or Hongkonger had wanted to touch with a long pole because of its lack of port and facilities and its dependency on Shanghai for access to port.
Singapore leaders were sold by pride to go in to Suzhou. After building up the whole infrastructure Chinese saw it a good opportunity to capture Singapore investment share so it acted difficult and MM Lee had to go down and plead with its local district officer with lamentation like :"Emperor being too far off in Beijing while mountains were too high to cross"
Now the Tianjin story is beginning in the same way - very calculatively enticing to invest. Midway as with the nature of such investments some things sure crop up to cause more lamentations. Just watch and see. He never learned pride can hurt and hurt badly.

When politicians pretend to be entrepreneurs with public money, they are either too cautious or too stupidly slow.
They maybe the political elite, but they surely are not industrial captains.
Their nose has been honed to sniff the political whiff, but it is the captains of industries that will sniff out the investment opportunities.
Unfortunately, he must have forgotten the old saying that one can only be a 'Jack of all trades, but master of none''.
It is only pure vanity that keeps him believing that he is infallible, and with none of his peers and contemporaries around that is able, willing and daring enough to challenge him in the toughest manner, he hear only polite and cautious opinions that will wilt at his challenge.
Vain and powerful personalities will always have their ways - and the past 100 years of World History has shown that these characters will only want to hear their own voices, or the same tone from clones that they produced.

Please folks u think people in gov does not know that.
i think it is a region too big, too close that you cannot ignore. Learning from experience, I believe this type of investment is more likely to establish long term relationship rather than investing on return. Which do u prefer trade or arms?
