I'm curious and would like to know how many of you guys out there are willing to stay rooted to Singapore, our homeland.
Here's a scenario to help you with this topic:
Given a chance to go over seas to venture your career or to study... with success in your hand will you come back to Singapore ?
Or will you stay in that foreign land?

I think the fields always look greener from the other side.
It's only when you go oversea that you start to be annoyed by some of the policies that our government made that doesn't exist in this country. But it's also only when you go overseas that you start to appreciate things from your homeland.
Leaving Singapore eliminates old problems but bring in new (and sometimes "alienic" ) problems too.
There are many types of SGeans oversea:
-Some pple still come back.
-Some come back for their families and friends
-Some pple stayed there but still considered themselves as Singaporeans (most cases).
-Some hated Singapore, their government, their pple, their everything (finding fault in EVERYTHING) probably their have bad experiences in their childhood, NS, family,etc..... They wish they're not borned in SG
-Some stay due to family/personal problems in homeland that they want to avoid
-Some wants to come back but can't bcos he/she gamble away all his/her money and school fees/salary in casinos and was in hiding.
-Some hated Singapore bcos his surrounding frens(somemore non-SGeans) hate SG. And when all his friends left him, he come back.
-Some miss SG when their overseas, but miss overseas when they are in SG.....and miss SG again when they go overseas again............and miss overseas when they return to SG.
Singapore may not be a paradise, but there's no such place in the world as a paradise.
