It seeems more people prefer residency than citizenship....even locals talking of converting their pink IC to blue residency ..i a globalised world when a china or indian worker with degree get less pay then our diploma holders.

some decades ago, when they said stop at 2 & ignored public feedback, now they face low birth-rates...to negate this issue, they import "citizens"...
Now, with the outflow and rate of locals beng replaced, what do you think the 'our' far sighted government will face decades later, and WHAT will they resort to doing to negate the outcome?
All I can see so far, are all the U-turns they have been making on all previous Policies dogly implemented regardless of public outcry or feedback...

singapore is at such a juncture where there is a dire lack of replacement population in about 20 years. By then all the heroes of today become some zeros that needed some serious support, all the boh gay needed a robust thing behind them....so, since many unfetilised eggs aren't converted to babies and some people fill their lives with dogs than children......freedom like the west has a price, its call "foreign talents".
It is sad, as a patriot, I am quite uncomfortable to share our pot of gold with people who don't love the country, nor serve NS and just bring their changkol and bags to dig and run......

About displacing local talents, its a global thing. Now cows can fly, so they eat grass on every other hill they see shiok shiok. We also want to go to place like EU or the US to get higher pay, while they think we are the foreign talent go rob them with lower pay.....so likewise the guys who comes here.
Must thank God we have people around who Huan Loh about our future generation, for me, I just go some place and retire. You see, if everyone thinks like that ....Singapore become SINK-Ah-Pore...sink....ah.....pore! -

Where 'resident' is a foreigner who applied with the help of someone willing to employ him.
And the gates have been very open and are being opened even further.

At the rate the influx is happening,
Its no surprise in short time, say 10 to 20 years,
the Majority may be the new immigs and PRs.
This will transform the voting situation and trend.
