I, too, agree in general about your assessment of LKY especially till the 70Â’s. His status could have further heightened if he had handed over power similar to Nelson Mendala and be more liberal with the opposition.

Lee Kuan Yew cannot be a great first-world leader. He and his family is too rich and his salary is too high to be one. Moreover, he did not really suffer for singapore for the independent and growth. He receives many benefits from singapore.
