everyone buys the only standard daily newspaper there is what. today and the likes are not wat i consider as standard daily newspaper. they are tabloid kind of goodie goodie new paper.

They just use people's monies to acquire any lands and assets they want so lands and assets and facilities should be used for provisions of services to the people without any more extra charge.
Yet instead of providing services with these lands and assets they treat them as owned by the government and any usage of such resources are at the extra or separate charge. When they charge rentals or sale prices on these lands and assets which are obtained free they will be making profits without any capital costs.
They have the cheek of impudence to falsely claim that they subsidise for housing or any services when in fact people already paid for them with their taxes even if they are providing such services seemingly without collecting any fees. -

different type of leaders are suitable for different type of situation.
some are good at rallying people to a cause, others are good for propering the countries.
LKY is good at the initial stage of mustering up the people for the independence and use initially the right kind of people to bring this nation to prosperity. (note that i DONT give any credits to the existing pompous elite groups of PAP, but rather salute to the old PAP guards that brought forth much fruits to the whole society. LKY is NOT a leader that will bring forth democractic improvement to SG and neither will he tolerate challengers.
LKY is a strong willed and dominating leader that can bring forth a place from poverty to riches. but he demand your submissions with little/no questions. will u be able to do that? -

If Singaporeans blindly follow the Singapore mainstream media, their level of poltical awareness and knowledge will be at zero level.
This is because Singapore mainstream media does not touch on political issues.
It is mostly state propaganda in my view.
That is why Singapore must have a free media. A free media industry can contribute to a more lively and vibrant society.
It can open up people's minds and stimulate their thinking rather than the current worthless propagandistic media.
I regarding following the Singapore mainstream media as a brain numbing exercise.

see our own neighbour....the indian minorities are making a stand for what they believe is wrong. if the people here are not happy, shouldnt you be making more ruckuss too?? im not suggesting a demonstration, but during election you guys can make a difference.
as far as LKY is concern, he is a modern day dictator not a great leader. -

committed agains t the local in JB is sometimes blow out of proportion.
The idea is to discourage local from going to JB, Malaysia to spend money to buy daily necessties or pump up petrol. They want the local to buy everything in Spore to boos the local economy. -

I accept your rough gauge percentage of his contribution. The alternative to his top-down leadership is collective leadership which through delegated processes as posted in www.managefranchise.blogsppot.com empowers all leaders and the whole civil service at every strata to contribute mass knowledge application without all his nannying and self-glorifying. Only through an inside-out approach treating his people with such deep concern and respect will he retain many good people and stop our brain drain even without all his assumptions that by paying his elite leaders well with millions which is without basis or proven results. Instead his millions only attracted the self-seekers who will do things to his bidding and drive up our costs and divide our society.
Only when he seeks the unlocking of his fellow citizens' talents to give of their best will he discover true talents. Only then will he succeed in leaving something good and lasting like a more cost-competitive quality-conscious socially and culturally cohesive society which is more enduring and more likely to unite the people to work as one. -
