Ng Eng Hen meets S'poreans in Bahrain

MINISTER for Manpower and 2nd Minister for Defence Ng Eng Hen met up with 130 Singaporeans living and working in Bahrain while on a visit there.
At a reception at the Movenpick Hotel in Bahrain on Wednesday, Dr Ng encouraged the Singaporeans to give their support to one another and stay connected with Singapore through useful tools such as the Overseas Singaporean Portal, the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement.
The portal is aimed at keeping Overseas Singaporean communities in touch with Singapore and for them to interact with one another.
Dr Ng lauded the efforts of the Overseas Singaporean community in Bahrain to build up their own 'Club Singapura' to provide a home away from home for the OS.
He presented the prize to Singaporean Shymela Daran for coming up with the winning name for 'Club Singapura'.
Dr Ng also reminded the Singaporeans in Bahrain to always be proud of Singapore and to continue to fly the Singapore flag high.
