We need a new law...PRC staff MUST speak English

I walked into a coffeeshop and ordered "Coke" from a new PRC assistant
The new PRC worker looked at me blankly as he could not understand what I wanted.
After a while I relunctantly used Mandarin as said "ker-ler" and the guy brought me Pepsi instead!
Of late, I had been served by PRC staff who cannot speak simple English.
If I find communication problems, what more for my fellow non-Chinese Singaporeans?
I therefore propose that everyone, boycott shops which does not have staff that can speak local languages....Singlish, English, Malay, Tamil, Hokkien.......etc.
Why should my fellow non-Chinese Singaporeans suffer at the hands of these foreigners? By all means come to Singapore to work, but please speak my language, and not PRC Mandarin which my fellow non Chinese Singaporeans cannot understand!
I say we should avoid shops that employ non-Singlish speaking staff, and for this to succeed, all Mandarin speaking Singaporeans must co-operate to send a message to the employers! -

i met quite a few who can speak english, and even better than the average singaporean.

But for the sake of the Non-Chinese Singaporeans, we must be united and not succumb to speaking Mandarin simply because the PRC worker cannot speak English..... we must not encourage the employers who seek greater profits by employing these foreigners.....cheap labour......soon Singaporean uncle/aunty will not be able to work at McDonalds if cheap labour keep coming....... -

This... has been an age old issue, and not only with PRC coffeshop employees...! There are locals too, who insist on responding to me in Mandarin even when I ordered my food from them in either of the following local lingos:
>> English/Singlish
>> Hokkien
>> Teochew
Now, the biggest problem is that "our" government doesn't think this is a problem... (!!) Instead, they seem to want us all to Kow-Tow to anyone from China!!!

In future, if you come across such PRC coffeeshop assistants, just get up from your table, mosy over to the drinks counter & order your drink/s... if asked why, tell owner of coffeeshop his assistant cannot understand English/Singlish, Hokkien, Cantonese, or Teochew...

take it easy, just speak chinese to them if they only can speak chinese;
for your non-chinese speaking staff, just get another guy who can speak english to help;
lots of new immigrants from latin american in US nowadays cannot speak english, but they still are doing well

I'm sorry if you're poorly educated or just ill informed. The mandarin taught to the Chinese ppl is the exact same one taught as a COMPULSORY subject to local chinese students.
When you said, "ker ler", it translates to english as COLA, which is, my dear boy, hardly singularly indicative of coke. Handing you a pepsi was not his fault; It was yours. The person who does not understand a local language is YOU, not him.
But let's just do away with anyone who can't speak singlish properly huh? Your grandparents probably can't. Hell, a significant number of singaporeans probably can't talk in your imaginary singlish. Then, there's the fact that we chinese singaporeans are supposed to be acting as the bridge between the foreigners and the locals. Just because you suck at your mother tongue does not mean the rules should change for you. I've never seen a local having difficulty getting help in getting their ideas across to foreigners. Just because you're part of the problem does NOT mean you get to make up solutions.
Finally there's this stupid misguided noble idea of yours to put singaporeans above all else. What is this? War? It's a social problem that YOU can help solve, but refuse to.
