Bloopers on Straits times

Found this typo from yesterday's papers. They misspelled SINGAPORE as SiINGAPORE with an extra "i".

Funny, were the editors slacking? This type of primary school mistake also can miss out. Even more funnier is after one day already the typo mistake is still on the website. LOL.
Not sure whether is the mistake on the printed edition though. Can anyone who bought yesterday's papers help me to check? thanks.

If you have being reading the straits time regularly,you will have noticed there are quite alot of typo errors everywhere.Saw so many cases since like 10 years ago regularly -

Most staff already gone on holiday. I bet they hire local undergaduates to fill in editing roles.

They not only have typo errors, certain sections have ideological errors too.

Maybe SPH has a policy of achieving total congruence between the online version and the print edition. That will prevent them from altering such mistakes since the issue has already been published.
It's really gross to have such an error on the first word of the first article on the first page, though
