When comparing cost of living, compare Singapore with more costly countries to show that Singapore has a relatively lower cost of living.
Both figures are not fake. They are just presented in a way which the govt wants us to perceive Singapore.

OZ is definitely more pwoerful, richer, more advanced than SG
OZ economy>SG economy
OZ leisure> SG leisure
OZ intake of SG immigrants>>> SG intake of OZ immigrants
and the list goes on.
singapore has such low unemployment since the people would die of hunger and starvation if they dont work, no savings, no benefits, no welfare.
OZ land is more akin to heaven on earth compared to SG. -
The way they compute the figure may not be fair to sg, it can be more than 4.4%. Those stop work for more than a year or more may not be consider jobless.

well, u got 2 sides of people arguing about this topics;
at 1 corner, are the youngster that are in school, living with their parents, have min exposure to the working life. no worries about $$. laptops/PCs and internet connections are provided by their hardworking parents.
at the other corner, are the older forumers that had worked years in the private sectors, stressed out in managing family, household finances, works, businesses, had moved overseas and able to compare distinctively the difference of living in SG and overseas.
now which one will the readers take heed? hmmm..
