You must not forget, Singapore is starting to develop their engineering sectors. The demand is not here yet, but it will come soon no doubt. But not forgetting the australians will pay you high salaries due to the demand. Personally, i would say yes on the condition that your family is fine with it.
Which/what sectors, when.....any idea? Can you give me your source?
I do keep hearing about new factories/companies that are going to be setup here in Singapore but the general atmosphere about engineering is that its on a downtrend.
Everyone who i talk to seem to be "negative' about engineering. Maybe its just their personal experience. -

but i suspect there are some supporters of this kind of 'value for money' (super inverted commas) .

none are in aussie,
so i don tink i`ll be dragged there by them
however i really wanted to be somewhere `cooler` and less ppl..
and i really don wan to work til 85 to get back my OWN money..
