I don't think he founded USA
He was the general of the US army that defeated the British
And went on to become the first US president
I haven't read of anyone who founded but it's said that the Vikings were the first Europeans to enter North America
The Spaniards became the first Europeans to establish the earliest European colonies in Florida
But what really founded the United States of America were the 13 states that defeated Britain

There are so many factors that make a nation great...
I'll try to list all the countries in Asia and give my take on all of them
China, neh
Taiwan, neh
Malaysia, neh
Vietnam, neh
Indonesia, neh
Thailand, neh
South Korea, neh
North Korea,
Papua New Guinee?
Mongolia, neh
India, neh
Bangladesh, neh
Loas, neh
Myanmar, neh
Nepal, neh
Bhutan, neh
Cambodia, neh
Philippines, neh
Pakistan, neh
Afghanistan, neh
Only got 2 contenders which I think are qualified
But great?
Not to the degree America has achieved
Singapore and Japan
My take would be Japan
Japan doesn't need immigrants to build up her economy(debatable)
As well as the Science sector which I think is a really good achievement, for which Japan is one of the leading countries in.
I've been to Japan
Toilets damn clean and technologically advanced
Packaging of the food are well-designed and yummilicious
Hardly saw any trashbins at commercial areas
Very clean too if I may add( No need Bangladeshis)
Most courteous in Asia(Very silly even though I haven't been to all Asian countries, heckcare)
People who take remove the trash are Japanese too
The sense of "Doing the best I can"
is ingrained in them(Not so even for SgChinese 
)
BUT MOST OF ALL
EVERYWHERE I LOOK
I SEE

Though the government is mismanaging the country at the moment
For Singapore
We always have needed immigrants to do all kinds of jobs
Well, we have always been an immigrant nation ourselves
