The worship of monies by the leaders has denied them the moral authority to lead the countrymen.
Now they manage to lead only by hanging on to whatever allow them to do so by legalistic wrangling.
Leadership is much more than leading by legal mandate or procedure.
Without effective moral leadership, government cannot succeed in carrying out policies which require full cooperation of people e.g. policy to check falling birth rates, NS and citizens' loyalty, Biomedical, R&D projects, Social cohesion, Brain drain of its own talented citizens, community bonding, entrepreneurship, practical knowledge applications, NKF, FT, medicare and medishield and much more,,,,,
Look back at the past policies. This kind of legalistic enforcement is not getting much support of the people. People only bear with all the policies and do not care to support the government. After so many years the estates are still full of littering and dumping.
All the programs or policies require strict laws, penalty and enforcement.
There is too much reliance on legalistic wrangling and everything has to be done by law.
Quality of leadership has sunk to the lowest in any conceivable history.
To build a first world all inclusive society where policies are enthusiastically carried out by all citizens from the top echelon to the lowest level government has to reverse the current legalistic and uncaring attitude if it wants to get citizens to support its many programs of change.
