For many years, many forummers have been telling the old Feedback Unit that by the government policy to educate the citizens to get a piece of paper from the university, one day we will end up with a lot of educated unemployed.
It is now happening as predicted. Everywhere we can see highly educated people becoming taxi-drivers or estate agents or low-skill workers.
It looks like the government does not have any solution to creating value-added jobs or upgrading the economy.
The ministers appear to be claiming success based on GDP or property hypes and beyond that they can blame any problems on rise of China or India or Globalization.
Don't believe me, just watch the ministers' speeches in Parliament or this year's National Day rally speech of PM. Globalization will excuse all failures or lack of results in upgrading the economy.
Fully agreed, especialy for those mature people who had been terminated or retrenched. I was retrenched some months ago, I am trying to apply for a position in the government organisation my application was not replied eventhough I am willing to accept a junior position.
