Democracy & Religion don't mix?

  Religion was invented eons ago by autocrats/dictators to keep their people in line. Religious people are known to respect authority and obedient.
  
  With the progress to true democracy, freedom of thought has emerged to be an important factor.
  
  One good example is the United States, their forefathers wrote secularism into the Constitution and their currencies even show the symbols of the Illuminati.

  According to the Arab world view, everything is a conspiracy. Everyone is always plotting against them. But for the Arab world, that is not necessarily a negative because it means that nothing is their fault.
  
  In August 2005, the residents of the Palestinian city Jenin attempted to break the world record for the largest sandwich. The record held by Portugal is for a sandwich 634m long.
  
  The people of Jenin planned on making their sandwich 750m long with 180kgs of meat and 600kgs of vegetables.
  
  In the end, fearful of spoiled rotting meat, the Palestinian Department of Health cancelled the venture citing the sweltering summer heat.
  
  “We were planning to add the meat and stuffing at the last minute to rule out any possibility of rotting,” chef and sandwich organizer Ahmed Nazzal told Reuters.”There must be a conspiracy against us by other competitors.”
