Just to give an example - when there is a war .. how fast or how well you can run away !!
This is different thing as combat fit - which i see a bit unfair ..
Cos irregardless u r physically fit, big build, small bult, skinny, fat, etc .. u have to carry the same amount of weight (e.g. 20 KG) and clear the same standrad obstaclessss...
E.g. A skinny guy (e.g. 48kg) to carry 20KG to perform standard obstacles, and a wellbuilt guy (e.g. 65kg) to carry 20 KG and clear same obstacles.
This is not fair !
Skinny carries 48+20kg load = 68kg load.
Big build carries 65+20kg load = 85kg load.
Guess who'll outlast the pace?? Skinny with high endurance can last longer than a fit, big build person with short endurance. Somemore, big build person's body heat tend to dissipate heat slower due to body mass, leading to increase need of more water and faster heat exhaustion.
I'd rather be the skinny with high endurance. When I was in NS, my skinny buddy outran, outpace and outlast me even though I was the bigger muscular person that i am.

And, being bigger, I have to lug a GPMG and ammo.....sigh!!
