She gave many examples e.g. PM Lee donating his salary increments was viewed positively by the mainstream but this was regarded as a back-down or admission of error in the government's million-dollar-to-retain-talent policy by the kopitiam people.
Indirectly, Chua Mui Loong confirmed that that there has been a practice for the Straits Times to ignore reporting views of the hoi polloi.
This seems to be the first time some reporters openly admitted that the mainstream news do not cover views of Kopitiam people.
This only confirmed Dr. Catherine Lim was right after all these years - government is ignoring the needs and aspirations of ordinary people causing a dis-affective divide or lack of graciousness within our society. -
