And yes there r PRCs in Aust too...but unlike SG, the prerequisite for foreigners there is that they MUST know at least basic English b4 they can land a job...

This true experience from me, actually tell us that, if our PAP government still keep on letting in these kind of people in for no reason, sorry to say, i will pack my bag and leave with my families to Australia.
Haaa, to all those who think that we are part of China because we are Chinese too.Let me remind all these people, the China chinese are not so good towards Singaporeans in nature.I knew alot of them and i know it.
Yes, you can give them red i.c.But they still regard themselves as China Chinese.They will not think of themselves as Singaporeans because the day they came here, they already dun like Singaporeans.They only mix with their own China people from what i seen.Open you eyes, my locals mates.Look around and see for yourselves, what Singapore will be like if everyone you saw is from China.
Cannot trust them is what i wanted to say.Go to China and see for yourselves how the Chinese people behave and how their culture is and you will know what i feel now, imagine whole lot of them flooding Singapore.
I rather be in Australia a better welfare foriegn country then in Singapore a country which will one day also become a foriegner's land but a worst welfare country and also a worst country with not much freedom to talk about. -
at one evening on the way to city hall , inside the MRT , there is one chinaman occupying the two seats , he was using his handphone to talk to his friend or family ( who give a damned ). He was talking at the top of his voice and worse, he put his left leg on the seat thus occupying the other empty seat . I hope there is the MRT personel patrolling inside the train to catch this type of undesired behaviour. -

I think sg is better than aus, over here u can eat mee siam mai hum, char koay tiew, katong laksa, mee rebus, I went aus 2 weeks, can not tahan the food, faster come back

The PAP govt is letting them in so easily...after the raids at Geylang and many came in again via forged passports...look at Huang Na case ..her mum was deported before but she burnt her fingers so as to come in with a different fingerprints under an another passport..what's the police or immigration dept doing?

Australia i heard is that many singaporean has been ill-treated by them. i wonder why ppl all flocked to aust to study? whenever i heard ppl say they study overseas, 8 out of 10 tells me they went to aust to study. Aust so wonderful? -

every country got good and bad people, i believe your parents' parents who r from china will not regard themsleves as singaprean and they think they are china chinese like many others, first generation immigrated from china...

I guess it's no different in any white man's country. They will treat all asians with contempt, some behind your back, while others in a very hostile way. Why? My brother migrated to Canade several years back. When he migrated there in the begining, he has all praises for Canada and snide remarks and critics on SG. Now that he is back in SG, it's the other way around, all praises for SG and snide and critical remark for Canada....most important gripe..........white man tend to be racist towards asians. He opened a restaurant there, got few good friendly Canadians, and also those nasty, racist ones who keep coming back with threats to burn down the joint. Don't see why these Canadians were so upset, anyway his staff were all Canadians. Staff also kena threaten. So when he reported to the police, they came, look see, look see....take down statement and left. End of story.
In the end he sold of the restaurant and came back to SG.......

he must have had a lot of bad experiences with singaporeans.
frankly, i wouldnt be surprised if he has encountered singaporeans who gave him the impression he is not welcome. there are indeed singaporeans who act like they are big deal coz they can speak english.
frankly, both locals and the mainland chinese have their own grievances and reasons. hence, there is no way to tell clearly right from wrong. -

Actually it is not aussie mentality , it is other migrant's mentality - the indian and the african tax drivers are the ones who ask if I am from China.
70% of the aussies I spoken to think I am from malaysia, 20% think I am from Indonesia and 10% think I am from China with some saying out loud that my accent is not even mainland accent.
The PRCs in Australia - the rich ones - are quite bad. The poor ones on scholarship are the brilliant fellas - they tend to do very well in whatever they are doing except in written english. They can speak survival english and their way of improving english is to speak english to Asians like me . They refuse to speak to me in mandarin because they want to practice their english. -
Your brother cannot take it lah. There are some who say alot but fail to make it there so come back and curse the country who welcomed them in the first place. There are some who migrated and refuse to return . There are alot who manage to make money in their adoptive country . I got a friend who is a millionaire now after 7 years in Australia. Asian some more. So how to explain that phenomena? Every one has a different experience and a degree of adaptability. Being thick skinned, helps you know?
I have distant relatives in canada and all of them are happy there in Alberta and Vancouver. They experience occasional problems but everyone call the troublemakers white trash. -
I grew up in Australia too. For asians who are not on scholarships, they generally mix with their own groups.
One interesting thing to note is that some malaysian kids have fathers who are datuks.
I've got 3 PRC friends who own a Ferrari.
