just saw the news report; robbery in sunnybank.
things i dislike here are;
- graffiti.. tons of them around.
- criminals get very light punishment.
- some teenagers damn farking yaya.. feel like punching them.
- robbery especially in asian community in sunnybank. they see asians small, skinny and good to eat.
- infrastructure is crappy. from internet connection to public transport.
- migedes or sandfly. argh!
the asian foods suck big time.. what the heck, curry is SWEET?!
but i still prefer here anytime over sg.

Personally I would prefer that you share your experience instead of saying I heard of this and heard of that, because the same can be said that many Singaporeans living in Singapore became millionaires over the last 5 years.
Beside saying you have made it rich can you also tell us why you cant make it big in Singapore. -

Some places offer more expansion room in terms of career opportunities that Singapore does not have. Singapore does have room for expansion in finance, banking , logistic management and tourism areas.
However if one wants to do nuclear physics or even let's say marine biology - they have to venture overseas. Even for certain sciences, Singapore has not established itself as an internationally known research entity yet.
And not to mention , there is almost no such thing as second chances in Singapore. Overseas, I have seen nurses become doctors /lawyers/statisticians etc but not in Singapore. Once a nurse, almost always a nurse unless you want to open a medical related business . I don't see people taking on another line .
Singapore in a way has her own advantages and disadvantages . So you cannot say whether a singaporean would have made it bigger if they had stayed in Singapore or overseas even. Why do you think the government likes to send scholars overseas if Singapore was so good? Heck even LKY's own grandsons did the IB instead of taking the normal route of education that Singaporeans have. -

My version of success is not financial success but happiness in what I do. Why can't I make it in Singapore? Because I will be stuck in nursing . I am not in nursing anymore - in another area of health and I do dynamical systems modelling as well as statistical analysis and algorithm programming to detect aberrations in the data. I am more of a technical person now.
So kindly tell me which nurse you would happen to know in Singapore that can do those because I will be very interested to find out how they got into that area in the first place in Singapore. [/i] -

6 years or more. How rich I am? Not that rich in millions.
