How to aim for a baby boy? -

My neighbour has been trying very hard to have a baby boy after the first 2 kids are girls..anybody has any experience? No vulgar jokes please,just your sincere contributions
Thanks for your valuable input...in short to have sex on first day of ovulation..the chance of a boy is higher.Am I right/ My neighbour also happen to be my best friend have recently received the following suggestions from Singapore Medical Association on an article printed in ST dated july 14 1982.

1) Sex shd be timed as close to moment of ovulation as possible.
2) Prior abstinence is necessary.Sex shd be avoided completely from beginning of the menustral cycle until the day of ovulation.
3) For a favourable Y-type sperm,an alkaline environment involving douching near vagina with 2 tablespoons baking soda to 1.13 litres of warm water.
4) female orgasm is not necessary but desirable.If a women normally experiences orgasm,the husband shd time his to coincide with hers or let her experience orgasm first.
5) Vaginal penetration from the rear is the recommended position.This ensures the aperm is deposited at the entrance of the womb rather than the space adjacent to it.This is desirable because the secretions within the cervix and the womb will be highly alkaline.
6) deep penetration at the moment of secretion will ensure deposition of the sperm close to the cervix.

I think he's looking for old wives tales.
One that I've heard is that when the baby starts showing the woman has to squat and wash floors. I think this relates to the perception that women who carry low have girls and women who carry high have boys. I think the idea is to push the baby into the higher position. Also probably accounts for why in the old days there are horror stories of mother in laws torturing pregnant wives by making them scrub floors.
Another I've heard is drinking soup brewed with "Yang" tonics to influence the fetus to become male. Probably accounts for some stories where some mother in laws suddenly becomes very loving and prepares lots of delicious and expensive soups for the pregnant wives. -

It sounds like a scam.
There is no scientific way to predetermine a child's sex. That probably accounts for all the female babies strangled in china during the one child policy. -
