Who do you admire more? and Why?
Personally i admire LKY's determination and intelligence
But i admire OTC's charistma, personalities (in the sense that his involvement in politics is genuinely for fellow SGs) and he is not a YES-man, as most of the PAPers are (if not all)..

I see LKY as the mind, Jeyaretnam as the passion and OTC as the concience, I don't see the imagination and I see GCT as the dedication.
We need mind, passion, concience, imagination and dedication.
It worries me that I can't find readily identifiable characters from the newer politicians.
Edited: Come to think of it, I do see VB as the concience.
Edited: We'd also need a mediator, to balance them all.

Ong Teng Cheong looks like an honest and upright man, I respect him.
Honest and upright man don't have a place in politics, on the other hand evil and scheming politicians like our benevolent dick can have a vice grip on politics. -

in my personal most personal opine of all opines
our late President Ong is the most important contributor to sg because he is the one who implemented the MRT system that benefitted the whole nation. MRT is the only proven way to reduce traffic problem. How many gantrys do we need to get rid of traffic congestion ? I am sure only when every road has ERP. That is likely to succeed if all roads have ERP. I personally will guarantee this one. Till then, MRT is the only proven effective solution offered by our true sg leader.
Mr Ong is my greatest sg leader past and present and future. no one else can replace this genius.
