Personally I'll think a merger is great because geographically Malaysia & Singapore should be together as 1 country but politically Malaysia will never never or ever wants to have a merger with Singapore because the union will upset the current status quo of the ruling party.

with singapore getting infested with so many foreigners (expariates or labourers) and the singapore government not doing much to protect her own citizens, i believe more and more singaporeans will not mind rejoining malaysia.

Rejoing the country itself and rejoining the government are two entirely different things.

remember that sabah and sarawak were coaxed into joining the federation malaysia by LKY.
so if sabah and sarawak revolt and join up with SG, then SG use its army strength to squash MY since SAF has alot more firepower than MY. it might just work. -
