I'll try to explain it as simply as I can.
Recently, rumors of vote rigging in the US have arisen. Rumors that large corporations have influenced the government have also risen. Rumors that the mass media are misleading and lying to the publich have also arisen. Rumors that the rights and freedoms of the people are being deliberately curtailed. Rumors that the people are being returned to slavery working for the Corporations.
Where previously such conspiracy theorys were dismissed, it now seems to have gained ground. There is a real concern now that whatever the outcome of the vote, the american people have lost faith in their democracy. This may result in huge restructuring, civil unrest or what some are calling a revolution.
As America is a world power and has economic and political ties to many other countries, as well as being the economic model and political model used by many other countries, there are fears that instability there will have far reaching repercussions.
And that is why there is concern over the American elections. -

It is hard for an idealist to win as we are not living in an ideal world.
Furthermore, his ideals are in opposite of what the people in power really want.
Sure he is able to garner a large support from ordinary guys like us but he cannot win without the support from the people in power.
Look at al-gore, heart is in the right place but most people treat him as if he has lost his marbles. -

It is quite true that USA has supported so-called "terrorists" in the past.
But supporting "terrorists" will not doom the world.
There won't be a big change in USA foreign policy if democrats or republicans wins.
The only change will be in timing, tactics and priority.
USA's goal of maintaing their global hegemony will never change. -
