as if ppl will be interested to watch a bunch of kiddies aging 14-18 years old playing soccer, when you have a much better andmuch more interesting EPL to watch.

Coca cola using the icon or logo also need to pay them money.
Macdonald will also be using the logo.
Samsung will also using their logo.

how many their so call tourist will spend money related to YOG Singapore 2010?

yup...these are the major players in most major sporting events...Mastercard,Visa etc...u wun be expecting 77th Street or Singtel to be involved heavily in YOG...Singapore F1 GP becomes Singtel Singapore GP

This is an extremely fair statement from you... although such statements come seldom.

the y.o., imo, is overated. true it remains to be seen but it is still a competition for 14-18 years old. not many will give it too much attention. youth world cup, etc. are not well attended to or given prominence in the press. in fact, i hope to be proven wrong but i don't think it will survive it's 5th edition, tt's 22 years from now and hopefully i will live to see it happen, or not. the candidates cities efforts sans singapore tells it all. moscow is leveraging existing infra to support the games and more interested its bidding for the winter olympics. the rest put in half hearted bids. this is another propaganda served by the gahmen to tell locals tt sinkapore is doing very well and to farangs tt it is a place to settle in. i hope to be proved wrong.
