2 new MRT lines

Hey does remember reading before that they want to build a MRT line through Bukit Timah? I remembered they say something about getting it ready in 2020 if the demand is enough. Did any government official say that before or was that a figment of my imagination?

yes, it is reported in the newspaper last year. It is interesting that Bt Timah line is not announced this round. Perhaps the Bt Timah line is not going to be built because the community living there does not like the idea? Is there any punning on why there is a new line planned on the east and not the west on the east-west line, incidentally, there are two opposition wards there?
