i predict there will be turmoil in the parliament after he has passed on. witch hunt maybe by whoever is more influential than LHL, auditing of LKY's relatives accounts and that is when the shit will hit the fan.
And after the euphoria and witchhunt, singapore society will then be able to progress on.

I think the death sentence is the ultimate punishment for a physical transgression.
The punishment meted out in his afterlife is the person's own affair with his God. It would be the right of the religious leaders of the marines to influence this punishment if they deemed it appropriate.
Not respecting each other's religious beliefs is always a bad thing.

there are many form of death sentence. for example, in Saudi Arabia, they chop off the head so that for that split seconds you can actually see your body being detach for your head.

Erm brother, I dont really care if SG ahead of other countries in many aspects..... i only care about a few aspects namely...1) My buying power aka wages
2) HDB ..... 99 years lease..... so it depreciates?
3) Affordability of freehold *refer to point 2

More gracious mah. Not everyone has the option to move out.... and if they can't might as well make the best of it right? So "turmoil" is bad for them as it has the risk of instant death.... which is far worse than their "slow death" with the current system.....
A word of advice in general ..... go study hard and be an elite to fall short of it is failure in Singapore..... if you want out of the rat race ship out ..... otherwise be an elite or be a ratatouie

I hope Mr Lee has the political charisma to hold the fort when the older Mr Lee goes.
