Do you think a trouble or peaceful Middle East is more beneficial to USA?
Trouble... So USA can get a chance to get oil for free... If peaceful, no excuse to come into their country...
USA's main interest in the middle east is control of oil, so weak regimes in the area will be better, since they are more likely to go along with USA's schemes.
USA is trying to prevent Iran from becoming a hegemon in the area as a strong Iran that is not allied with USA will weaken USA influence in the region.

A strong Iran will actually make USA influence in Middle East even more important because Iran are Shi'ite muslim while all the other oil and gas rich GCC countries are Sunni muslim.
i dunno........i dont pay attention to these news..........
A strong Iran will actually make USA influence in Middle East
That may be so, but Iran will resist USA influence in the area and I don't think USA likes that. Some of the smaller regimes will surely try to play off USA and Iran.
See CIA/MI6 coup against Iran in 1953:

I believe the Sunni leaders are afraid the Shi'ite muslims will rule middle east one day.
The might be arabs and muslims, but their believe and thinking is very different.
USA are the ones who created the conditions for Iranian hegemony. They destroyed Saddam hussein's regime which used to be the rival of Iran.
Now Iran's influence among the shia in Iraq has increased.
But I hope that USA will stay in Iraq at least until 2020.
It will keep USA military busy.
Others will benefit from this.
got different types of islam ar?
The persians are not dumb people like the arabs.Iran will never kowtow to the US and for that reason they are seen as a 'threat'.My guess is that the Americans would take down the Iranians before they get any stronger once they have withdrawe from Iraq in just a few years time.
