local students cant go uni but International student can?

  If you have money, go US for engineering. It takes only 3 years to get a degree, 4 years to get a double honours degree. NUS only if you bo lui to go overseas like me.

  I was accepted to Cornell, but in the end no money, and cannot secure overseas scholarship, so study in NUS lor.

  yeah but im already in u.s new york......the thing is that im only 17 and finishing school in june so i could go college next year...........but then my parents just moved to malaysia so i though maybe i move to sg where it is close to malaysia and study in nus................the reason is also i have no money because i got no family help in u.s and i am lonely here i searched in one of the world top universities and i saw nus was in the top 100s so i though it was a pretty well known school so i might wanna try to go there...............so what do u think?

  u can move to malaysia to stay with yr family. i am sure there will be a university in malaysia that will suit you.

  one of the sinkapore's U is probably your best bet. malaysia's U's entry criteria is also skewed towards u know who. dun waste time there.

  u shld also consider scholarship options in the US if available to you. if u want something bad enuf, u shld be able to attain it. good luck!

  sunway is private. anyway, some years ago, i know of a recent malaysian,graduated from USA who lectured there at sunway. only got 2 years working experience prior in malaysia before landing a lecturing stint there. i really suspect the qualification of lecturers at sunway.
