Okay i started this topic to get genuine, earnest reply from the most vociferous forumers here.
Long has the cries of the populace for the government to cut tax cut ministers pay cut expenses give more subsidy, lower living expenses.
Experts, please show us your – balance budget policies then?
IE Pretend you are the FM and you are the one dishing out the budget. How would you adjust the expenditure of our country?
Here's the PDF file link to for you to study the budget.

Then we can have our own palimentary budget debate here.
You dont have to adjust every figure but a well explained reply will do and you must be prepared to justify your reasoning from all forumners who wants to challenge your statement.
Breakdown of budget by ministry is found here:
http://www.singaporebudget.gov.sg/revenue_expenditure/toc.html
<Example> I would like to suggest that GST be cut by 2% back to 5%. The (est) loss in revenue will be 2 billion dollars. This 2 billion dollars cut in revenue will be made up with a 2 billion dollars cut in the expenditure of the MINDEF budget of the year. This will cut back the aquisition of latest new equipment required for the transformation of the 3G Army by 2 years.<Example i'm not supporting this because i cant count very well :P>
Personally, i'm no accountant so perhaps the enthu forumners like Mau13 and robertteh please start the ball rolling? After all knowing how many of those P4P sniffers there might be about.... maybe some good will come out of this.
Moreover, maybe they will troll more and open their eyes more after seeing how the BN got their butts kicked in the recent elections.
Good Luck.
zzz.
i got betta tings to do.
like eatin my char bee hoon.

if u expect the forumers to comb thru' the documents from your links and provide a so-called balance view and in the seriousness you imply, i think you r barking up the wrong tree. you should ask oppositions with shadow gahmen to do it, like WP.
or give these forumers the battalion of economists, etc. and then, maybe a `balanced' view can be extracted out.
like HK says, we got better things to do. most of us throw out opinions, many baised. sometimes, me included, talk nonsense just to stir up the good spirits in others.
i second your good wishes though for those who would like to attempt your challenge,....... good luck.
