The ones who formed the PAP in 1959 are ordinary people who came forward and convinced the rest of the people to vote for them. The people who come forward into the PAP and opposition now, are also the people before they joined politics, in which after that, some people do not consider them the people anymore but politicians.
The ones who gave PAP the manpower are the people, the ones who do not give manpower to the opposition are people too.
In other words, the root is the people.
The issue is, what kind of people? 2.5 million Singaporeans, it is difficult to say that they are only one type. The people threw up a Lee Kuan Yew, they also threw up a Chiam, LTK, JBJ or CSJ.
Everything starts from the people.

Ok.... No wonder we are made to pay for it by having to increase the already world highest minister salary to attract more people to join. Understood.
The pap do have a youth wing.

just that they are rather... well... not so high profile. But the PAP will get talents from this pool, as many of them have to be introduced by MPs or ministers.
In Nair's message, i personally feel that we are not informed enough. There are lots of details and data that we need to have before we ask the members of the ruling party questions.
Sometimes, the answers need not be given, if we question ourselves.
I am even more disinterested in the contents of this topic.

this party or not... the funds will be misused as well... so, why bother when we know the outcome?![]()
i think before changing political regime what needs to happen is to re-establish some power distribution. I think SG still have room to work on a more Independent Jurdicial system.
The patriach political culture would hopfully gone so that parliament can have a more objectives debate on policy and chart directions, generate bills and pushing bill thru rather than talk and than go back to square to vote base on partyline.
but i think domestics sg can be less negatively cynical.
