The entire economy runs planned. Consumption of local goods whenever possible is propagated. Conscription. Saving accounts made compulsory by the state. Everything is speculated and planned upon by the few on top who claim credit literally and figuratively when things go smooth.Yet all our lives we're told we're responsible for ourselves, our jobs, our education, our lives and deaths. But what of employment quotas we're streamed into? what of an education system run by the government? what of the entire media right under the thumb? what of legally bound savings? You are to blame for society's ills. you are to be blamed for the plight of the poor. Your pathetic attempt to claim credit and avoid responsibility for the flaws makes me sick. You cannot have the best of both worlds. But yet you can. But yet you do.
It is time.
Let's see if I can put this delicately.
You would not need to be led by the nose if you could learn not to stumble over your own feet. Judging from the spending habits I've observed from Singaporeans, half of us would be on the streets by now if not for forced economic structures.
It's cute how I don't see such fervent crusades to give ministers raises when things are going well.
