just like in malaysia, the governemnt is cutting spending on ministers, they reduce the size of cabinets,and do away with parliamentary secretaries, singapore should consider so

china's population is more than 100 times ours, and hence so is their parliament. their people's representative congress has 10,000 people. and they're even more coordinated than us, you see presidential voting, 3000+ support hu jintao, 1 or 2 abstain, no reject.
but back to the point of mayor, singapore itself is smaller than most cities with a mayor. so there's really no point.
