Look at it this way. All the violence in ME now is pretty much contained in Iraq. The "terrorists" now have diversed their focus into fighting Sunni/Shiites, instead of just the Americans.
The only people who can blame the Americans are the American people, not us. We are indirectly reaping the benefits of the regional stability (excl. Iraq) in the Middle East. It has not done us any injustice at all. It was nevertheless a mistake made by top leadership in underestimating the animosity between the Shiites and Sunnis, which is what is turning Iraq in to a quagmire.
High Oil Prices have nothing to do with the current Iraq situation. The media, being the media, sensationalizes everything and anything. But thats what people like... so who is to blame?
Out of that list, only Afghanistan is a valid "disruption" since military operations are still ongoing. You can thank the Taleban for not turning Osama Bin Laden. And its not like they were a "flourishing" economy of happy people when they were in Power anyways.
Look again at the economic growth experienced by the rest those countries before you answer the rest. Palestine is NOT a country, and Kurdistan is a part of Iraq. Check your facts.

that is precisely what ah pak is doing.
Ah Pak, Your Hero is asking for food.
The State Department announced the food agreement after weeks of talks over how the aid would be distributed. The United States wants assurances the food won't be diverted or used improperly by the government of Kim Jong Il.
"The two sides have agreed on terms for a substantial improvement in monitoring and access in order to allow for confirmation of receipt by the intended recipients," according to a statement from the U.S. Agency for International Development.
The U.S. said it does not know exactly how much the deal will cost, because prices will depend on such variables as the costs of food and shipping, both of which are rising fast.
Pyongyang "has been open in saying it faces a major shortage in food supplies," White House press secretary Dana Perino said earlier this week.
Probably part of some secret agreement.

See whether USA dare to invade like Iraq or not.
USA send troops and bombs to Iraq.
But when it comes to DPRK, USA send food.
I am so proud of DPRK leadership!
They know how to handle USA!
He is truely a wise strategist, Kim Jong Il.
Kim Jong Il won't allow USA to suka suka fuck around with his country.
Send bombs or send food to DPRK, that is up to USA to decide.
Weak military force, USA send bombs.
Strong military force, USA send food.
Simple logic.
Saddam Hussein should have followed Kim Jong Il's tactics.
See lah, now Iraq occupied by USA, hundreds of thousands killed, country thrown into chaos, Saddam also killed by USA.
The master strategist Kim Jong Il.
He knows how to deal with USA.

I have watched how the opponents of USA do political battle with USA for years now.
But never have I seen this Kim Jong Il in action.
Never have I seen such strategy, such cunning, such courage.
Kim Jong Il has my deep respect.
He is a wise man.

The US Has Lost Control: Latin America Has "Created its Own Neighbourhood"
Eva Golinger, a US-Venezuelan lawyer who has dedicated herself to exposing US intervention in Venezuela and is the author Chavez vs Bush, explained to Green Left Weekly that behind these events was the fact that the US "have lost control in this region, and this is something that is incredible threatening for the US empire".
"They are seeking out a way to divide and create conflict in the region", said Golinger "in order to impede integration in the region".
"The backyard of the US has gone; it's created its own neighbourhood, and the US isn't part of it", commented Golinger.

Sun Tzu says:
For should the enemy strengthen his van, he will weaken his rear; should he strengthen his rear, he will weaken his van; should he strengthen his left, he will weaken his right; should he strengthen his right, he will weaken his left. If he sends reinforcements everywhere, he will everywhere be weak.

USA send their troops to invade and occupy Iraq, five years already, still no outcome.
USA influence is thus weakened in their backyard.
2. When you engage in actual fighting, if victory is long in coming, then men's weapons will grow dull and their ardor will be damped. If you lay siege to a town, you will exhaust your strength.
3. Again, if the campaign is protracted, the resources of the State will not be equal to the strain.
4. Now, when your weapons are dulled, your ardor damped, your strength exhausted and your treasure spent, other chieftains will spring up to take advantage of your extremity. Then no man, however wise, will be able to avert the consequences that must ensue.
5. Thus, though we have heard of stupid haste in war, cleverness has never been seen associated with long delays.
6. There is no instance of a country having benefited from prolonged warfare.
I seriously find no credibility in you.
On one hand, you are critical of the PAP "regime", on the other, you are supportive of cruel regimes like the Burmese Junta, Kim Jong Ill, and latin american left-wing socialist/ populists like Hugo Chavez.
Words like hypocrite, double-standards, and contradiction rings out with your ever post.

Poh Ah Pak you disappointed me....
As long as the US gets what it wants it would not bark or bites. The US has befriended PAP regime which is undemocratic because the PAP is cooperative to the US government policy. While counties like Iraq under the late Saddam Hussein was not.
When you cannot convince them, buy them. When you cannot buy them, intimidate them, when intimidation fails, annihilate them. That sort of foreign policy exists between current nations imo.
In the end foreign policy is about how big your coffer is. And how big your gun is. In case the other side is not interested in your coins.
Nice words just won't cut anything.
Hi....I havent read all the pages...but I did read some.....
For me....USA........I am a little scared of USA.....u know why....?
In my opinion USA has a dangerous ideology.
I am not an expert but I think USA is a.....
Freedomo-fascist and democrato-fascist.
Each country, or society, people, have an underlying belief system or idea, value system, building block, and a world view, which drives it, and determine its motivations and actions....
They are obsessed with this idea called 'Freedom' or 'democracy'.
If we look at other societies, all shades of ideology is there in this world. From religion, tradition, culture, all sorts of beliefs and world-view exist.
However, there are not many societies who want to 'spread' their belief system to the world.
It happens from time to time, for example communism....and people used to say communism is a threat, communism is a global threat...
Well...what about now..?
Now one empire is gone, another empire takes over and is spreading his value system overtime.
They like their system, thats fine, thats nice for them, I congratulate them. But I worry because they are trying to impose their values on others.
They are spreading 'freedom' and 'democracy' to the world.
It is used in international arena to justify their actions around the world.
It is also abused, as a pretext, to achieve their aims.
Too often, 'freedom' and 'democracy' is a rallying call, a selling point, jargon, and slogan, used by them to rally and militan-ize their population to support their government actions.
Iraq.....'we are building an enduring democracy in middle-east'.....
Officials on TV will say.....'this is a challenge for us, they attack us because of our freedom, but freedom will prevail'........
Ukraine....a big intervention was mounted during their election, and USA say 'Ukraine will now have freedom and democracy' .
Yes that is nice, and even more nice, Ukraine election winner will join NATO and allow their missile defence.
So I think we need to open our eyes wide, and see whats going on. There is a hyper country who use his ideology in good use.
I
did remember a word surfacing in USA publications.....it is quite
recent....it is called 'Islamofascist'......At first I thought, this is
a perversion...but when I read further, I understand what they are
thinking...
But if we examine the characteristics of what USA is doing now....its just the same...just wrapped in another cloth.....so I give these 2 words for them, which very aptly describe them...
Freedomofascist and Democratofascist.
Meat Pao.

No, I am not supportive of internal repression by DPRK or Myanmar.
I support DPRK not kowtowing to USA. This has nothing to do with its internal politics.
For example I despise USA's foreign politics, but have no opinion on its internal politics.
Same logic.
anyone pro US should saw the movie 'battle in haditha'.then u will know both US soldier and iraq ppl r innocent, what sucks ,is american's policy and ideology
As long as USA does not abandon their ambitions and policies for global hegemony, I will oppose their foreign policies and projects.
I won't support USA global hegemony.
