1. MSK freedom dash is 1 month old already. Singaporeans no longer hold their breadth. And WKS is still around.
2. Singapore `kena suan' for being insensitive during Earth Hour last Saturday by testing its F1 lighting sytem. Not sure what's in the mind of the chaps to plan those testings. Again, wasting tax payer's monies.
3. UBS reported a fresh US$19n write-off. GIC can say whatever, but it call into question the due diligence made by these almighties in GIC when they first agreed to pump in billions, probably taxpayers monies, into an organization mired with financial difficulties. Which page of the reports did they miss when they were evaluating UBS?
4. An indirect spat on Singapore's leader's pay-for-competence policy. S. Korea's President to forgo all salaries during his tenure. He did the same when he was Seoul's mayor, forgoing his salary for 4 years. (If he works for free, then he must be incompetent, right? This must be so if the logic of the PAP prevails. Well, the jury's still out there, but Lee Myung-bak is a known for delivering results, whether in the private sector or in politics)
you guys can add on but I think this is enough for a start. (And it's only Wednesday)
Why not old lee donate half of his salary to charity, he is the oldest statesman in the world, who else is the oldest ? Even china statesman also retire early ? why singapore different ? is it greed for power ?
he is the oldest statesman in the world
I think the above statement is true.
Wow shocking!

how old is mugabe? another oldies desparately clinging on power in zimbabwe.... they should have tea sometimes and exchange notes.
adding on, i'm wondering the purpose of the posts minister mentor and senior minister. aren't our ministers scholars? aren't they already the so called best crops of our population? why do they still need a mentor? and i don't see tony blair becoming senior minister.
pardon me as i'm still not familiar with the system here, needless to say overseas politics.

Big difference. None of the current batch of overpaid monkeys have struck out on their own in the private sector and have succeeded based on free market prinicples, including LKY etc. The only way they can make money in the private sector is to be "consultants" aka lobbyists to foreign companies, selling their inside knowledge of GLCs and ties and connections within the government.
Well in the past many thing happen but it's either cover up or forgotten by public.
