Interesting to note that you are still talking to "Third Parties" instead of addressing to the party that you had insulted without any provocation from the posting that started it all.Originally posted by Mazohyst:Yep. haha. Once again, you reiterate your previous points by re-phrasing them while conveniently ignoring anything that you can't refute. Think of something fresh for once, will you? I think its more pitiful how the gifted wordsmith Atobe can't think of a new insult. Is the master of the art of "refined insulting" slipping?Originally posted by Atobe:Interesting to note that you are still talking to "Third Parties" instead of addressing to the party that you had insulted without any provocation from the posting that started it all.
Still acting the hypocrate in calling others a "warmonger" when you had so clearly stated that you are out to pick an argument without any reason, just so to overcome your boredom.
Still acting strangely from your boredom, in your indulgence with the lower ends of your interest towards "Tree Huggers", "Gay Pride", "Gay Pride Rallies" and "Pompous Arse".
Pitifully feeling lonely, and now you are calling someone else a "Tree Huggers" too?
Tsk Tsk, you are desperate in your boredom.
Of course I am happy while having fun with your boredom.
One would have thought that your silence in the last 24 hours had indicated an undeclared peace had returned to this site.
Suddenly, you are back again with your old habits of false statements and insults.
24 hours of silence is simply too much to bear for a bored child, who must release the pent up desires and look for "Tree Huggers" to join your "Pompous Ares" with some "Gay Pride" in your "Gay Pride Rallies".
Pitiful.
The world is too small for enimity to continue endlessly.Originally posted by Mazohyst:ok man... relax. You've got a point. I am very insulting. Hahahaha. But for the sake of not making us s'poreans look bad to those bastards across the causeway, I shall very generously cease all insults directed towards Atobe. Peace man, atobe! Let's be frens!
And my apologies for being pig headed and also for calling u a hippie. No hard feelings eh.Originally posted by Atobe:The world is too small for enimity to continue endlessly.
This private battle is as useless as the verbal abuse that are exchanged between Malaysia and Singapore - even though any one side started it.
Peace be unto You and All in this Forum - Singaporeans and Malaysians (some of whom are my closest and best relatives, and some also count as amongst my best of friends).
My apologies for posting that you do not know how to socialize.
You have taken a big generous step with your hand of friendship, and it is accepted.
Originally posted by Atobe:Laser51088, you are right that there is no place without loyalty.
One should be loyal to the family, to oneÂ’s friends, and to oneÂ’s country.
The direction of my first posting was that all these talks of waging war with Malaysia at this stage will only mirror ourselves as unsophisticated and unthinking rabbles, who are no better then those crude goateed people hollering outside our Singapore embassy in Kuala Lumpur.
I have quoted the innocence of two young children, who are born out of the wedlock of parents from two different countries; and who without any training in diplomacy, these two children made an innocent statement of honesty.
Loyalty towards nations is a political development of oneÂ’s attitude as one become politicize over the years as we grow old.
Malaysia and Singapore, and the rest of the member states of ASEAN, could easily become like the different states of the European Community; if we learn to be humans and drop the barriers of POLITICAL BORDERS, and amalgamate our countries into one common community.I've always felt that the European Union was a rather elitist association, requiring members to reach a certain stage of political and social development before entrance. This however, makes it easier for the EU to carry out certain programs than ASEAN since their members have all attained a certain standard of development.
One day, like the honest comments of these two children, we can openly say that we are a Thai, Malay, an Indian, Vietnamese, Sumatran, Javanese, Achenese, Chinese, Filipino – all these names of our birth origin as a source of identity, without the need of feeling politically racist or nationalistic.Sorry, I dun understand this paragraph. We already openly refer to ourselves by our race where appropriate, and by our nationality if it is more fitting to the occasion.
War between Singapore and Malaysia will be disastrous for both countries, and also for this whole ASEAN region.Agreed.
We should be better than those hot headed guys with goatees that are only good at waving placards and shouting slogans and making wild rhetoric in public places.
Let us not show our cards too early, but play it cool.
Towards this end, I respect our Ministers for their levelheaded responses in the Press and in Public, when questions are raised as to our response to the MalaysianÂ’s wild behaviour and provacative rhetoric.Hopefully, Sg ministers continue that way. Malaysian leaders however, do not reflect the opinon of all their people. It would be interesting to hear the view of a Malaysian able to keep his/her cool and with a keen eye on the issue.
