Regarding the olympic torch relay world wide, one thing I am curious is that the Asia leg does not pass through singapore. It will pass through malaysia and then indonesia, by pass singapore. Does it mean we are transparent to china, even though PM lee always kowtow to China.
i noticed too, but i think no big deal. i believe the ioc and china planned the routes together. there shouldn't be any political innuendo here. in any case, singapore wil make a big deal of the YOG already, plus all the so-called org comm for YOG will get a free trip to beijing to `see and learn' how the olympics is organized.
ah.....life is good when you are at the (PAP) top. i also want to go to the beijing olympics.

Singapore is too international a city .... too many ang mohs ... but also legions of PRCs .... imagine the situation our garbarment would have to deal with ? ..... you can't hammer the ang mohs .... you can't hammer the PRCs either .... and you certainly can't have them fighting each other on the streets ... not when you don't even allow your own people to demonstrate ......
so ... the best thing to do ? ....say "thanks, but no thanks" lor .....
I feel that the torch should pass singapore and then to indonesia. The police can tackle those protesters who want to snatch the torch due to the Tibet issue. We must have confidence in our SPF
I want to set the supporters of Tibetan independence against the Singapore Police.
I want to see who will win.
We must have confidence in our SPF ....
I'm sorry bro .. but this is too cute ..... *giggles .....
okie, nevermind about mas selamat and all that .....
remember last time this group of disgruntled PRCs held a demonstration in Singapore ? ... complete with placards and chanting ? ....
no ring of boys in blue around them at all .... the SPF won't have the balls to touch them ..... even though 4 singaporeans wearing sloganed T-shirts in the streets required the ang chia to be deployed ....
and you can guess what the SPF would do to the ang mohs of course .....
no ... it's not really about the torch ... a little flame is not that difficult to protect ... what we can't have, is two groups of people the SPF won't touch brawling on the streets .... bad for our face you know .... ![]()

I would like to see what you'll say about that as well ......
since you're both pro-china and anti-SPF .... you KPKB'ed the last time about the SPF when they removed your SDP idols at their last demonstrations .... what would you have to say if the same SPF removed anti-china protesters from the streets ? ....
...
too bad we wouldn't have the chance eh ... haiz ... it would have been such a dilemma for you wouldn't it ... ![]()
You mean SPF only bully singaporeans and dare not touch foreigners ?
Singapore Police act cocky to Singaporeans but no balls to touch foreigners?
Something is not right there.
Double standard.
So foreign protesters are "FT" too?
Very odd that foreigners have more rights than locals.

yes ... that's my impression ......
and you'd have to see which countries the foreigners come from too ....
do I have confidence in the SPF ? ... no I don't ...
when 24 hours neighbourhood police posts are removed in the name of cost cutting ... you know how wrong the priorities of the powers that be are .....
no wonder mas selamat managed to escaped ... the task of guarding him appeared to have been "outsourced" as well .....
since you're both pro-china and anti-SPF ....
I'm not anti-SPF.
I'm against double standards.

... a Kampong Bully is only effective & powerful within the Kampong...
..once he leaves the Kampong and go to Town, the Kampong Bully gets bullied instead...
that is interesting I wonder who decide the route IOC or Host nation?
