Stephen Hadley, the current Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs (commonly referred as National Security Advisor) for President George W. Bush, is on ABC to talk about his concern for the plight of the Nepalese and urges the Chinese government to "treat its citizens with dignity and respect". Apparently Germans think so too. But it seems that their intentions are highly questionable:
The following is from http://www.zonaeuropa.com/200804b.brief.htm#010
German magazine Bild published a photo accompanied with reader comments about whether there should be a boycott of the Beijing Olympics. In the absence of any explanation, the reader would get the impression that the photo came from Tibet (China).

The Chinese mediahunters found the original agency photo from which Bild cropped a section. The cropped out section shows Nepali policemen, including one carrying a shield with the word "Nepal" on it. The agency photograph was accompanied by the caption: "A monk, injured after a beating by the police, lies on a road in front of the Chinese Embassy's visa section office in Kathmandu March 25, 2008. Nepali police charged at protesting Tibetans with bamboo batons on Tuesday, injuring some monks and detaining dozens of others.":

What are the intentions of the Germans exactly?
And in view of the performance of Stephen Hadley in ABC, I hope those American politicians knew exactly what Tibet is all about when they passed the Tibet resolution a few days ago to pressure China.
ummm............. Nepal is not part of China.
This just goes to show the ignorance of anti-China groups and the methods they are willing to use to distort and modify the truth to suit their agenda.
