I believe it is our hunger for success that makes the difference. Pre-university education only provide us with the foundation for higher learning, it doesnt dictate our future.
How can you be happy when your life is full of doubt?
i can only say that you are mixing up a lot of things here. you seemed unsure with what you are asking/commenting. i am replying you on your question on PAP's influence on you. I have no doubt about your success of your relatives. i am sure they are successful, regardless of education level.
as for me, you don't know me. i can tell you this much that i am happier than i am unhappy. if i tell you that i am completely happy, i will be lying. but i don't equate happiness with monies as you imply, though i have more than enough material things with me to keep me (very) happy. my happiness derive from seeing that my family does well, that we are healthy and nothing untowards happens to them. helping others in many ways too add to my happiness quotients.

"Money can't buy happiness, but it can damn well give it!" - Freddie Mercury
Freddie's dead.
"People say that money isn't the key to happiness, but I always figured if you have enough money, you can get a key made."
some funny quote i read before in reader digest.
would like to say here that being rich doesn't necessarily equate you to being happy. money only helps to make it easier for ppl to feel happy, but it isn't the direct source and reason of your happiness.
regarding ppl's resent of the government. it is not because the government has not been doing a good job. rather, it is because people has realise that so much more could be done in a real democracy.
They did definite them as peanuts a few years back though...![]()
i did not earn 3 million a year .
i earn peanuts.
not 600k peanuts. pure unadulterated peanuts coated with 100% extra virgin olive oil.
