Hi, me and my friends are planning to make some modifications to the existing wheelchair to make it more compact, thus allowing easier storage and saving on space. The 3 areas targeted are the back rest( which we plan to make it foldable), the handles by the side of the wheelchair (we plan to make it retractable so that the user can be slided on or off the wheelchair more easily) and the large back wheel (we plan to make the wheel foldable so that it will not be so space-comsuming, especially if placed in the boot of smaller cars).
