Suggestions:-
(1) Scrap all the extravagant projects - recessions may be coming soon again and people cannot pay any more increased taxes and inflated prices of necessities or medical or housing costs.
Use surpluses to create endowment funds from which to use interest incomes to lower inflated prices of housing, utilities, medical and public transportations.
(2) Put to a stop to any further losses on investments like Shin Corp, Global Crossing, Tecomsel or Bangalore or Russian Towship developments and use those monies belonging to citizens wisely to turn vacant lands or empty premises or human resources into productive units at least to lower costs of necessities or imports.
(3) Report all the hidden profits and capital gains from land sales and GLCs and include such profits and surpluses as requested by ex-president Ong Teng Cheong as part of annual budget to avoid giving wrong information on deficits of government leading to unwarranted increases of GST.
(4) Cut back unnecessary positions like 84 MPs, political and parliamentary secretaries, Mayor, CEOs, GMs, where there are pushing of responsibilities or major mishap like continued spread of prostitution, giving of excuses in NKF or Mas Selamat and hougang fires killing two siblings and use such manpower savings to lower rising costs of living and improve system and processes for more substantive works to be done by all permanent secretaries and senior officers responsible in respective ministries who are already highly paid and shouldering little responsibilities.
