It is indeed a strange incident.
But there is no evidence that shows that it was a malicious plot by James Gomez.
Campaign period in Singapore is quite ludicrous, only 9 days.
I propose one month campaign period so that everything is not done in a hurry.
Five years one election for one month sounds fair to me.
PAP will never allow of course.

from mm lee's comments on gomez i really find him to be petty and wanting in political grace. as a prominent senior statesman of the country he shouldn't be involved in the factional disputes and nitty-gritty issues of the gahmen.
