Best part is, I recomended this stock so that the poor young people in this forum can also invest in it, since it is so dirt cheap.

the part when you said "Hoard your money", quite ironic indeed, ask people to buy stock and than ask people to Hoard their money.
Be it idiot, angel, God or whatever, just remember to Take Your Medication on time and in time.

Andrew ... is it time to buy yet ???

There are very few counters you can buy... and you put in not more than 20% of your investment fund at the moment (not 20% of your assets!!!)
If you have no investment funds of any size to speak off, you should start saving up and make money from your job, build up your career and enjoy life!!!
Maybe spend $5 a month buying Toto and hope Toto strikes you like lightning striked the Merlion. Only $5 because lets be realistic, what are the chances of winning Toto first prize. Even if you buy $5000 a month the chances are almost zero.... but lightning sometimes strike...

I now think that it warrants a change from inflation watch to stagflation watch....

DOW JONES - STOCKS
CRUDE OIL
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!
This is just the beginning and so no one is sure that it will happen like when I put out the warning in 2007 and no one was sure that Singapore was going into depression.
One thing though, so many dogs called me names that time but no one dares to make a fool of himself this time...
hahaha I have reached a higher level of credibility.
Anyway, I digress.
Since it is just the beginning, you have plenty of time to do something about it.
I wouldn't advice you to go into the derivatives markets to try to profit from this because a little knowledge is a dangerous thing and you will sooner lose all your money instead of making money (no matter how good the speaker made it out at the seminar).
What you can do is to buy stocks in companies that own mines, have mining concessions, but you have to make sure that they are genuine companies with rock solid trustworthy directors (this is like asking for the moon, hahaha) and not directors that will put the profits into their own pockets and tell you that they are losing money (mostly likely they will, hahaha).
These companies for obvious reasons are not Singapore companies (even if they are listed in SGX) simply because Singapore has no mines or crude oil underneath.
Therefore these companies, even if they are listed in SGX can get away with murder (in the country that they are operating)
They other thing you must do of course is (click to link)

Warren Buffett Says Economy Has ‘Fallen Off a Cliff’
Billionaire Warren Buffett, whose Berkshire Hathaway Inc. posted its worst results ever in 2008, said the economy “has fallen off a cliff” and that efforts to stimulate recovery may lead to inflation higher than the 1970s.
