What are his motivations? What is his game plan?,................. For PAP’s Mr Chong, if the experience of another Opposition politician is anything to go by, “there may still be hope for Chee”. Back in 1988, when he was contesting as a first-time PAP candidate against the late Mr Harbans Singh of the Opposition United People’s Front, Mr Chong said he found the statements made by the Opposition candidate to be so outrageous and incredible that he actually wondered whetherMr Singh was “planted by the PAP to make the Opposition look ridiculous”. Older Singaporeans will remember Mr Singh, a teacher-turned-lawyer, as the Opposition politician who could be counted on to offer them a good laugh during election rallies with his amusing and entertaining speeches. After being reassured that Mr Singh was not a “plant”,Mr Chong later learnt that the veteran politician had been slapped with a defamation suit during the earlier part of his career when he was “still taken seriously”. But Mr Singh stopped getting sued when his statements became more incredible and less credible, Mr Chong added. “Like Mr Singh, there may come a time when Chee can say anything, no matter how outrageous or slanderous and no one will bother to sue him,” Mr Chong added. Lawsuits aside, the Government and the PAP may decide, one day, to adopt a totally different approach towards Chee even as he continues to act like a persecuted political martyr. Mr Peter H L Lim, former editor-in-chief of Singapore Press Holdings, said: “There are many creative thinkers around, so we may see a new form of counter-strategy one day.” -

this attract me a lot and make me think any posibility that this kind
of plot would be true,in 21 st century,after seeing so many Mission Impossible
by Opposition!!
Loh is Chinese eduacated.He still can complete all election procedures
without problems and get elected for many years.
Harbans Sing's credibility was so low that he got 131 votes out of
about 26000 valid votes casted:

Why there were so many mistakes made by highly- educated-
English- speaking Opposition Parties?
English to them sure is not a problem.dunt tell me they have problems
in understanding election procedures ,regulations etc.
1.u cant lead while u are in jail
but the most famous one to foreign NGO just do this.
2.dunt commit political suicide,but keep politically alive
the most hopeful one just do this----get bankcrupt from suit and cant run
for election for a foreseeable future.Ya.NGO can help him out,like LKY said.

3.Cant complete required procedures for nomination
First ,he submitted the wrong form.In next election,he thought he had submitted the Minority form,but the CCTV footage help him to refresh the memory that
actually that he did not.
Before he gained back the memory,he had accused the poor civil servant
misplace his form!can Election Dept,in the future, issue receipt anything
ED receive.
If the person cant produce the receipt if there is any dispute,
this is the person's liabilty to prove that he did submit it.
