I believe majority of the Singaporeans are smart enough to make their own judgement about what was said in the interview, and there is really no need for you to try so hard to convince them that you are the smarter than them. -

The american way of doing things is winner takes it all. Our singapore society doesnt do it the 'american way'. So what if others call us a loser society by successful americans?
I would rather live in a loser society where the strong protects the weak through well thought out credible survival solutions than one where the strongest survive, becomes millionaires and live in the Bahamas, let the poor and homeless live in the streets of US.

This is so taken out of context, "Loser" in that old man's era is not meant to use in the same derogative sense as we youngster use it today. It simply meant people who loses out in a particular system. Rather than serving as an evidence of LKY being arrogant, this entire thread serves as a subtle reminder of the existence of something known as - generation gap.
