Does anyone audit the automatic money colleting machines

Does anyone audit the automatic money colleting machines at car parks?
The mushrooming of these machines everywhere is a concern if no one audits them, how would we know that we are not cheated?
I could have sworn that I was cheated of $1.50 today. Since it is only $1.50, and I do not possess prima facie evidence, I choose to KPKB here instead of making a police report.
Maybe someone else have this experience?
If so, there might be widespread cheating going on right under our noses...

Why do you say you are cheated? Sometimes it could be explained by an electrical engineer...

..we won't know will we, ..unless there is proper auditing done on the machines?
...but it sure looked like I was cheated because the people there said it is immposible that the machine is wrong... which means the alternative is "cheating"....
