Are you certain that deerhunter is operating multiple nicknames or are you just following blindly what other forumers are saying?
In my personal opinion, whether its Opp party or PAP in ruling, as long as they have our welfares in mind and not abusing the authority and power they weld, its fine with me. I have to agree PAP has been contributing significant growth to our nation. However some of their implementation may not have the priority of the people first, e.g ERPs and these kinda implementations have negative impact on the party. Adding salt to the wound, they have 'silly' explanations to cover their backside. If they still hope to achieve the same percentage of supporters like 10 years ago, they need to pick up their act.

With regards to the ERP, let me ask you some questions.
1) Is Singaporeans generally getting richer and cars are becoming more affordable?
2) Is Singapore population growing?
3) Is Singapore land reclaimation projects moving as fast as before?
4) How much did the government invested on building infrastructure for public transportation and what is the main objectives?

Surely the Billion Dollar failed investments in Shin Corp, UBS and Merryll-Lynch is more sexy then that promoted by SDP ?
The rulling party certainly know the important things in "how to make money" from a captive market of Singaporeans that is pressed to take on short term employment contracts with no traditional methods of determining retrenchment benefits - and with the captive Singaporeans subjected to a list of cleverly designed taxes that rob the hard earned monies when made to depend on all the various essential services that are all monopolised by the Government and the stable of companies in its control.
Like the 'deerHunter' - the silly Gazelle will perpetuate a slanted view and hope that when promoted over a longer period - somehow the numb minds will accept the fractured scenario to be normal.

Why are you only talking about the failed investments only? Too ignorant or too SLANTED and bias to talk about it?
PS - I was told that your are a under cover agent working for SDP? Is that right?

(Depending on the income gap you are referring to. Affortable in term of purchasing or maintaining?)
2) Is Singapore population growing?
(Does the population you referred to include foreign talents or just Singaporean?)
3) Is Singapore land reclaimation projects moving as fast as before?
(Projects advancement due to external factor or internal factor?)
4) How much did the government invested on building infrastructure for public transportation and what is the main objectives?
(Cost effectiveness. Planning objectives may not be accordance to the actual results)

Were Singaporeans not owning cars before the PAP came into the political scene ?
Are you suggesting that the wealth accumulated by Singaporean created by the government, and not by the sheer ingenuity of ordinary Singaporeans in the face of the constant assault on the wallets of Singaporeans ?
Are cars becoming affordable today then compared to 1970s - before taxes were raised 300% - bringing car selling prices for a 160cc from $15,000 to $60,000 ?
2) Is Singapore population growing?
Is the Singapore population growing by natural birth, or by the opening of doors to new immigrants ?
3) Is Singapore land reclaimation projects moving as fast as before?
How much land can Singapore recover from the sea - given the perimeter border that surround Singapore island ?
Have all other options been considered in building road ways above and below the surface roads ?
What about the large tracts of land that remain held in the land bank to be sold at the pleasure of the URA on instructions from the Ruling Party ?
Has the Master Plan considered the longer term development of traffic flows, and update the Traffic Police in modernising its own mindsets in road speed management ?
4) How much did the government invested on building infrastructure for public transportation and what is the main objectives?
How do you intend to push your line of argument ?
Are you suggesting that the Government will build infrastructure for public transportation for the altruistic purpose of Singaporean drivers ?
Has it not been a fact that the Government has failed in getting the maximum benefit from the amount of monies spent on the LTA designed infrastructural development of expressways and arterial roads, and leaving the Traffic Police to curtail the designed speed with nonsensical speed limits and speed cameras that cause bottle necks to occur in an otherwise perfectly designed road system ?
If it has not been the initiative and intelligence of Singaporean drivers to ignore the speed limits and drive safely - can the Singapore economy hum at the restricteed speed limits imposed by the conservative and paternalistic Traffic Police ?
As matters stand, at least 90% of Singaporeans are already traffic offenders for exceeding the unrealistic speed limits of most roads in Singapore, except that the police were not around.
If you want the readers to believe that the government has generous and responsive in spending on infrastructure and make cars to be "affordable" by tweaking the COE - you must be deluded to believe that these policies are all done with charity towards Singaporeans.
If at all, the lowering of the COE per car will result in a boost in revenues from a frantic chase to nab the restricted quantities of COE that are available; and the billions spent on infrastruture roadways will mean that more cars will move around more frequently to add more ERP revenue to the Finance Ministry, as well as more revenue from the fuel taxes collected.
Only a mixed up juvenile that cannot even come up with a straight nick will not be able to discern the obvious strategic thinking of a sly government.

Yawnz
Where did you see me fighting for attention?
The attention seeker is the one who starts threads and then talks rubbish in it.
Obviously you are still blissfully unaware that the majority treats you like an autistic kid. How can it be wrong if so many people regard you as such? Remember,

Will you be able to list out the success stories of the various billion dollar investments - when all the present investments are already on the downslide, and with the future of the company being questionable ?
Would you like to reveal the source of the creative under cover piece ?
Could it be a result of your continued fixation with the under cover piece from your friend's sister ?

Hi, I'm new to the forum. Just wanna say this, I'm 18 and really, i have no faith in the youth of today, I find many of the to be either apathetic or bitching like spoiled brats. Many people like to point their fingers at the government for the rising cost of living etc... But randomly throwing insults at LKY as if he was Hitler is going too far, don't forget the fact that he has built what singapore is in 43 years, and if I were him, I'd be very proud of my work and would be extremely afraid of those opposing me. Personally, I have an attitude of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". The people of my generation are so spoiled, they think that life in singapore is bad, I'm half filipino and when i go to visit my relatives there and i walk down the street, that's what you call bad. I don't blame the rising cost of living on the government, I blame it on the towel-headed ragheads who sell the black liquid that is controlling the world right now.

I believe several people have already managed to expose you nonsense in this forum, hence I dont think I need to waste my time to further expose about your lies and your working relationship with SDP?

Just look at the attention-seeking threads he has created:
