Hmm ?.. you didn't read LionveryNoisy's post meh ?
Because he worried about the pollution affecting his dotter's health. Maybe she got Asthma ? But if this is really so.. he probably is not aware of the haze affecting Singapore.
Anyway.. Singapore is no doubt strategically located.. with many airlines choices serving many parts of Asia.
On top of it.. there's also a good American School in Singapore for his dotter's education.

In his own word (no sugar or spices added)
Well, we would like to move to China, but the air is so terrible, the pollution is so bad, that we can't bring ourselves to do it. Everything works in Singapore. It's an astonishing place. It's got the best education system in the world. It's got the best health care in the world. And it's Chinese-speaking. Our 4-year-old daughter, Happy, goes to a school where they only speak Chinese. One of our motivations was that she continue to speak Chinese. It may not be as exciting as Shanghai or New York, but it's exciting enough for me.

So where would a smart person like you be sinking your money?
a smart person will not tell you where to invest in. do your homework instead of asking for free tips.

1000 local migrate to other countries according to govt. I read the paper, there got 10000 local in HK, employed in the financial sector due to higher salaries.
According to the report, they will not be coming back to this country due to salary discrepancy.

How much oil does Taiwan produce? Or do they even produce crude oil at all.
The DPP's proposal has won the backing of ruling Kuomintang legislators. Chang Hsien-yao, a KMT caucus leader, pointed out that Taiwan does not produce oil, but has to rely on imports for all crude oil and gasoline products.
Either you are talking crap or the KMT caucus leader was talking crap.
Taiwan = SG$1.51 per litre (USD 1 = SGD1.36)

Take a look at Singapore expat website and you will noticed that they are all telling one another that there is actually no need to drive in Singapore because Singapore public transport is good and affordable.
And the reason why we have a good public transport is because our government has foresee congestion problem many years ago and their quick thinking and action has made Singapore one of the most livable place in the world.
If you cant afford to buy a car, just take public transport. Period
I thought of that before, seriously i did. If one day ... Just one day EVERYONE in SG go for public transport .. The wait for buses and MRT is like just only 1 min interval .. Will the fares for public transport increase? Since EVERYONE is sticking to public transport.

Should we learn from u? Invest into 2 properties in SG? Not forgetting when we asked u for the value .. Nothing was said.

The biggest cost component in building a world class public transport system is the infrastructure. Fortunately, our infrastructure are already in place, thanks to our government's effort over the past 20 years.
