Anwar IbrahimKUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia's opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim will be investigated over new allegations of sodomy, police said Saturday, the same charge that saw him jailed a decade ago.
Anwar's Keadilan party said that one of his aides, Saiful Bahari, had been arrested and "forced" to make a statement saying he was sodomised by the opposition leader.
"Yes, we have received a police report from an aide of Anwar Ibrahim that he was sodomised. But no, we will not arrest Anwar at the moment," said deputy police chief Ismail Omar.
"We will investigate this report first. We will look into it and carry out the necessary steps before issuing any warrant of arrest," he told AFP.=======================

"The police report lodged against me earlier today is a complete fabrication," Anwar said in a statement.
"I believe we are witnessing a repeat of the methods used against me in 1998 when false allegations were made under duress," he said.
The charges have erupted after Anwar's spectacular return to political life at the helm of a resurgent opposition, after being sacked as deputy prime minister in 1998 and spending six years in jail on sex and corruption charges.

well, for that matter, I heard many stories that CSJ is the mole planted to destry CST's party. I am unsure whether this is truth or myth, but any threads where I can read more on this?

I dont know whether it is true or not.
Of course there is a possibility Anwar is framed.
But seeing what other politicians do.....like in Taiwan.....sex scandal.....or USA....gay senator sex scandal........so I am not so sure whether Anwar is really framed, or he is indeed gay.
If someone polled me....yes, no, not sure......I choose the third option: not sure.

It is unbelievable a 23 year old guy couldn't resist a 62 year old guy sodomy.
He said that he was raped for 8 times already, and only now then he lodge a case to sue Anwar. What a joke, this is insult to our intelligence.
Mahathir has used this excuse 10 years ago to get rid of him. Though eventually they couldn't find any evidence at all.
I quite sure Anwar is framed by his opponents. The question now is who is the one who setup this trap.
One possible mastermind I think is Mr C4, if he managed to throw Anwar to jail for another 10 years, he is the one who benefit most.
It is not difficult actually, considering the whole police force and the judicial system in malaysia is under the government control.
Once Mr C4 become the next head, Singapore has to suffer a lot already. -
this has to be a conspiracy from someone; when he is preparing for his biggest fight of his life to ascend to ruling the country, would you believe he'd risk something like that, even IF he has queer tendency (which i do not believe).
i don't think the rakyat is as dumb as before. whoever conceived this must have done pak lah a big disfavor because this could well topple the government if indeed it is proven to be a hogwash.

I won’t be surprise if Anwar will to frame himself, in order to gain popularity. I can see some similarity in the previous Taiwan election between Liew vs. Chen.

why would he want to be famous by putting himself in a bad light? it's such risky business, because it's so hard to play the victim of a conspiracy.

if anwar is already confident of getting a simple majority by party defection by some of the BN components, it is silly of him to pull such stunts. if he is found out, he's doomed for sure. so, i think this is more of the work of some BN bad apples.
